02 / CLEAR PAINT PROTECTION FILM

Keep the colour.
Add a physical barrier.

PPF is a film installed over the paint. Clear polyurethane PPF is designed to help absorb the everyday punishment that would otherwise reach the finish beneath it.

How the film works

A typical PPF system combines a surface topcoat, a protective polyurethane layer and an adhesive. The release liner used during installation is removed; it is not part of the protection left on your vehicle.

The film is a sacrificial layer. It can take damage while helping protect the paint, and a damaged section may need replacement. Clear does not mean completely undetectable: finish, edges, joins and panel shapes all affect the result.

What “self-healing” actually means

In suitable products, minor marks in the film’s surface can recover with heat or warmth, according to the product’s instructions. Cuts, deep gouges and damage that penetrates the film are different. Self-healing film does not repair a dent or damaged paint underneath.

Where protection has limits

PPF helps reduce risk. It cannot guarantee prevention of every stone chip, deliberate scratch, collision mark or stain. The force and shape of an impact, the surface condition, coverage and product all matter.

Choose the coverage around your driving.

“PPF package” is not a precise description on its own. Ask which panels and areas are included before comparing prices.

01

Selected areas

A focused discussion about vulnerable or frequently touched areas. Confirm the actual panels, not just a package name.

02

A full front

A common starting point for road-facing exposure. Discuss the bumper, bonnet, front guards and mirrors individually.

03

A full vehicle

A broader scope for owners seeking protection across more painted surfaces. “Full” still needs a written coverage definition.

Coverage is a decision about your use and priorities. A larger package is not automatically the right answer for every owner.
