UNDERSTANDING GLASS COATING
A surface treatment.
A more rewarding finish.
G’ZOX Japan describes a liquid treatment that cures into a glass-like surface structure on painted bodywork. “Glass” describes the coating structure; this is a paint treatment, not a window-coating service.
THE ADVANTAGES
Gloss and a refined appearance.
A coating can enhance the finish of prepared paint. The condition and preparation of the underlying surface remain central to the result.
Water-repellent performance.
Class M is designed for pronounced water repellency. Beading describes the surface behaviour; it does not measure resistance to stone chips.
Support for ongoing care.
The treatment helps resist contamination and makes routine cleaning more manageable when paired with appropriate washing and maintenance.
THE TRADE-OFFS
It does not stop stone chips.
Glass coating is not a physical impact barrier. Choose PPF when reducing damage from road debris is the main goal.
It does not repair the paint.
Swirls, scratches, chips and deposits need assessment and appropriate preparation. Coating over a defect does not remove it.
It is not maintenance-free.
Water spots, bird droppings, poor washing and neglected contamination can still affect the finish. Product-specific care remains necessary.
